This multi-day class is your beginner driver's guide to skills necessary to be a safe driver. Course material will be broken down into three classes:

1. Road Signs- Road signs are everywhere! Student drivers need to know the meaning of the signs before they pass their drivers' test. Knowing the meaning of road signs helps keep their eyes on the road longer. Students enrolled in this class will be taught the difference and meanings of road signs' shapes and colors. Students' knowledge will be assessed during an interactive game. 

2. Dashboard Lights- Students will learn about the basic warning lights including check engine, oil pressure, temperature, tire pressure, brake system, ABS, battery, turn signals, and more. Students will also learn about headlights, high beams, and auxiliary headlights. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of using a turn signal and how to activate them. 

3. General Rules of the Road-  States govern their own road rules, but there are important rules that are consistent across states. Students will learn road rules that will help them be a safe driver. Topics include following distance, turning, passing, speed limits, and right of way. Students will be encouraged to learn their individual state's laws. 

What prior knowledge is required for this class? 
Students must be at least the age of 13 to take this course. Road awareness will help prepare learners for this class.
