I am happy to introduce your child to the beautiful art form of quilling. This is a one-time class to introduce students to the basic quilling shapes and how to make a flower. The six basic quilling shapes that will be taught in this class are tight coil, ring coil, loose coil, open coil, marquis, and teardrop. Rolling paper is an excellent fine motor exercise! Learner Supply List: quilling paper strips or colorful paper, such as construction/copier paper (cut into 1/4" wide strips) 6 strips - any color for the petals, such as purple, pink, red, etc. 3 strips - green for stem and leaves 1 strip - yellow for center of flower a blank notecard or cardstock as the background liquid glue scissors pencil or quilling needle tool If your child has quilling tools, that is great, but it's not required for this class!
