每週 1 小時. Homework will be simple drawings, interacting in the classroom through commenting and posting, as well as creating short videos to present their homework or to speak on their homework. Homework should never take too long when assigned. The great thing about self paced classes is students are able to complete the work when it is convenient for them!評估

For our self paced class, students will receive a video recording of the lesson and an assignment to complete for each lesson. Topics we will cover are how to read a compass rose, cardinal directions, directional words used to describe how to get to a location, how to tell East and West apart via the sun, plus we get to go on a field trip and play a game together! Let's talk Maps!
Let's answer the why and what of maps. We will take a brief look at different types of maps, who makes maps, and discover parts of a map. 1 作業

What is a Key and why is it Important?
We learn about keys on a map and why we must have one, what it shows and how to make one. We will then create our own for our maps. Our map will be of our neighborhood or a neighborhood we design. 2 作業

Landforms
We will take a quick quiz to see how many landforms we can spot in the images provided. Since it's clipart, I accept two answers per image. We also discuss why knowing what landforms are and what significant roles they play which means they should be important to everyone. 1 作業

I do not want students coming up today to have the same struggles. I have created these classes as a means to pass along what I have learned and found most interesting about geography.
