Japanese art is also stunning! 🎎 This easy-going course is aimed at students who are interested in starting or continuing their Japanese language journey, and love Asian inspired art. Discover Japan through its language and art! 🎨 Learning Japanese in this self-pace course is at the student’s independent pace, own time, and convenience. Students will follow along as if it was a set of on-going live classes. Students may watch the pre-recorded videos (containing Teacher Lynn リン 先生), complete the Kanji artwork and homework activities any time during the course! There are no live zoom classes. In this course, students will be introduced to 1 of the main Japanese writing systems - Kanji - though art. 🎨 Students will be introduced to the meaning and pronunciation of the Japanese Kanji radical (root) characters of the lesson and associated Kanji vocabulary words. There are 225 traditional radical (root) Kanjis and over 2,000 associated Kanji vocabulary words. Students will learn 10 of some of the most commonly used radicals (roots) and over 50 everyday Kanjis in this course. 🎉 Students will be shown the correct stoke order for the characters so that they can proceed to draw or paint the Japanese Kanji characters correctly. History and cultural references may also be discussed. Students will write, draw or paint a series of Kanji words every lesson. ✍️ [For example: Student will learn the Japanese Kanji characters for "Teacher", "Mother", "Friend" and "Woman"] This course is 12 lesson long. Videos, Discussion, Games and/or Worksheets will be provided every lesson. Teacher Lynn (リン 先生) completed her Master’s degree in Oita, Japan. She was a teaching assistant for Japanese middle school, high school, and university in-person classes in Japan. She has been living in Japan for 7 years (since 2017). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Japanese language, but fell in love with Japanese culture and discovered the passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She has been a private Japanese online tutor for over 5 years (since 2019).
