Learning Spanish can be easy and fun! In this ongoing class students will meet weekly and use rhyming, singing, playing games and socializing to begin to learn conversational and foundational Spanish. You will be amazed at how fast your child can learn another language. You can join at any time and no prior experience in needed. Foundational skills are covered each week and then conversational weekly topics are rotated (see schedule below) Foundation Skills Taught Weekly (through songs and chants at the beginning of each weekly class lesson): - abc's - counting - days of the week Conversational Topics Covered in the Course (Note: topics will rotate on an ongoing basis) Week 1 (June 28th) - introducing yourself & responding (greetings) Week 2 (June 5th) - common sayings and phrases Week 3 (June 12th) - asking for common needs, objects and for help Week 4 (June 19th) - sharing about yourself Week 5 (June 26th) - discussing the weather Week 6 (August 2nd) - discussing time of day and time
學習目標
In class students both learn conversational and foundational Spanish in order to effectively be able to communicate in Spanish.

Hello Parents & Students,
I am Ms. Carrera and I am so very excited to be here on Outschool and would love to tell you a little bit about myself and the classes I teach. I have been working with children educationally since 2003 and have a strong background in literacy and Spanish instruction. I have worked as a literacy coach, taught Spanish enrichment and also taught classes online.
My passion is English Language Arts, Spanish, Art and making learning fun and engaging for all of my students. I truly believe that all students can learn difficult things if you are just creative in the ways that you reach each child. You will find that in my classes we learn so many things through games and using visuals to help my students have fun and succeed!
On a more personal note, I am a mom of 2 wonderful adult children and have 2 beautiful grandsons (5yr and 10 mos.). I can't wait to have more time in 2021 to teach more students literacy and of course Spanish too! I look forward to getting to know your student more in class! Adios!
