Valentine's Day is upon us and chocolates are everywhere! While they certainly are a crowd favorite, nothing says you care more than a personalized box of chocolates. In this one time class, we will use molds and candy melts to create our own handcrafted box of chocolates. Learners will create -Nut/Sunflower Butter filled chocolates -Chocolate Caramels -Chocolate Mints -Solid Chocolates -Crisped Rice Chocolates Learners should be familiar with simple kitchen utensils as well as the microwave. The class will be live and have walk through instruction, with frequent pauses in the lesson to check in on learners and make sure everyone is doing well. Recipe cards and needed tools will be delivered upon sign up. Please know that learners will need silicone chocolate molds and/or mini muffin tins with mini muffin wrappers to complete each chocolate. **Recipes with nut butter can be substituted with sunflower butter. Adult help may be needed in the kitchen as we use the microwave and work with hot bowls.

Hi there! I’m Tabitha Rivera and I am happy to meet you. A little about my background, I have a degree in English and Creative Writing and have been an online teacher for 6 years now. I also have 18 years teaching experience in a classroom setting in daycare, tutoring and homeschooling. I love learning and believe that everyone should have something fun to learn and grow with. I enjoy fostering in a student’s learning by providing thought-provoking out-of-the-box lessons that keep my learners asking questions and thinking long after the lesson is over. I also believe that learning should be fun! My classes provide hands on lessons that get my students moving and learning in new environments. My favorite part of teaching is answering my student’s questions and seeing them make new discoveries while following their passions.
I currently live in New Mexico with my daughter and 2 dogs. In my free time I enjoy working on writing my book, reading, traveling, cooking and baking. I also love to learn new languages and about every culture. I currently can speak 6 languages and look forward to adding more to my collection.
