課堂經歷
This ongoing course is for beginners of the game of basketball. This is a real basic class that will work on the same skills each class but with different drills and games. Each class will start with some warm-up drills. I will demonstrate the drills and provide feedback and encouragement along the way. Athletes will participate in: Ball handling drills: Rolling the ball on the ground from one hand to the other, moving the ball around the body, practice bouncing and catching the ball. Learn to dribble with both left and right hands while stationary and while moving. Switching the ball from one hand to the other. Fun and engaging drills and games will be played to reinforce these skills. Shooting technique and drills (No basketball hoop needed) Passing technique and drills Rebounding technique and drills Agility Drills: Basic movement drills to improve balance, coordination, and speed. Conditioning Drills: Fun exercises and games to improve athletes cardiovascular endurance. Defensive Footwork: Awesome drills to work on defensive stance and movements. Equipment: Basketball (smaller size) or playground ball (Depends on the learners comfort level) 4 markers (Cones, Shoes, cans, books, etc.)

Athletes should have an open area of about 15 - 20 feet, wear gym shoes, and have a water bottle. Parent supervision is important to minimize chance of injuries.
