基本指導解釋性寫作

This Basic Guided Explanatory Writing Course will focus on writing Explanatory Essays for five days.  Each day will focus on learning and implementing a different writing strategy.  The five strategies that will be addressed are Cause & Effect, Compare & Contrast, Problem & Solution, Process, and Description.  This is a 5-day course.

Lessons will be delivered in a PowerPoint presentation format for 45 minute durations.  During each lesson, I will present a lesson objective, graphic organizer/essay outline, introduction paragraph strategies, and  five body strategies.  Upon the conclusion of each class, students will submit the following their THREE-PARAGRAPH ESSAY response if desired.  Each response must be type-written within a 2-hour timeframe following the class, if the student would like to receive comments.  Upon submission, I will peruse the entire essay and provide a concrete and valuable narrative critique to inform the student if they have followed the strategy or strategies correctly.  I will also make suggestions if deemed necessary.  All work must be submitted in a timely fashion.
