Class Experience: In this lesson we explore the effect of aerial perspective on the colors of a natural landscape and demonstrate how to use this to create atmospheric depth in a painting. Aerial Perspective combines four key elements to create the illusion of depth in a landscape: The size of objects becomes smaller the further they are from the viewer. The details of objects decrease the further they are from the viewer. The tones of objects weaken the further they are from the viewer. The colors of objects begin to fade the further they are from the viewer.

My name is Aneliya Chalakova, and I live in the United States. I am an artist, a mother, a teacher, and a simple creative being.
Art is a powerful communication tool. I enjoy teaching the creative elements, techniques, and environmental solutions. My goal is to empower children to think naturally and to believe in themselves, to understand the basics of art and design elements, and to use them all to help in the creation of better communities when they grow up. Art education helps children learn problem-solving skills and how to approach larger issues differently.
