課堂經歷

• This is an Ongoing Class and a student may join and drop-in any week of the class.
Students will learn everything about ONE celestial object/topic each week.
In this class students will improve their understanding about Space -Big Bang, Black Holes, Exoplanets, Life cycle of stars, Galaxies, Constellations, Dark Mater, Dark Energy, Space Telescopes, Space Flights, Aliens, Satellites, Dwarf planets, Kuiper Belt, Oort Cloud, Asteroids, Comets etc.

• I have several sections of this class open during the week. The same topic is discussed in all the sections of the week. If there is a schedule conflict anytime in a week, please let me know and I will be happy to transfer you to another section of this class for a different day and/or time. Thanks.:)
The class link is shared below:

• Since I share videos in class that require permission and subscription, I am able to play them in class but not able to share them online. For this reason I do not share the class recording but always willing to make a transfer to another section of the week if there is an open section. Thanks.:)

• According to the Big Bang theory, the universe started up around 13.8 billion years ago.
Back then, all the stuff in the universe was packed together in one dense point called a singularity. No one is really sure why this singularity exploded.
That cosmic explosion is what we call the “Big Bang.” It was real hot at first, about 10,000 million, million, million degrees.
After things cooled down a bit, the first stars and galaxies began to form.

• First 2 minutes will be an introduction of the teacher and students and a discussion on the topic for the day.
Next 40 minutes will be teacher sharing a Google Slide presentation, reinforcing the concepts learned in the class with examples and watching short video clips on the topic discussed for the class. These video clips will be from credible educational sources with graphics and animations.
Students are welcome to discuss and ask questions to make the class interactive.
Students may note down some points as we are watching and discussing it. They may use graphics/flowcharts/concept maps for these concepts as well.
Last 3 minutes a student will share his/her learning with the class and may ask relevant and essential questions.
Student are also welcome to share a graphic/poster/drawing on the topic discussed in class and can add their own flair of creativity.:)

2. Why has all matter taken the same amount of time to get to where it is today, all starting off from a single position?
3. What is the difference between an asteroid and a comet?
4. Are there other planets outside our solar system?
5. What are exoplanets?
6.How do astronomers detect the presence of exoplanets indirectly?

I am an enthusiastic, goal driven and an organized teacher with an extensive background in education. I structure my class so that a student enjoys the learning and the interaction in the class. This helps a student to remember what they learned, remain motivated and will continue to build on this learning.
