In this multi-day course, your young learner will learn sign language through their favorite pop songs.  Each week, we will translate, practice, and then sign a new pop song!  

We sign songs from all sorts of different artists.  Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons, Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, and much much more!  If you have a favorite artist or song that you would like to sign, let me know and I will include it in a future class!

Week 1: Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus
Week 2: Shake it off - Taylor Swift
Week 3: Firework - Katy Perry
Week 4: Top of the World - Imagine Dragons
Week 5: Deja Vu - Oliva Rodrigo
Week 6: Brave - Sarah Bareilles
Week 7: Learners Choice (we will vote one one)

We will start each class by listening to the song and writing down ideas for how we might sign it.

Next, the teacher will lead a discussion on some of the main vocabulary used in the song and we will practice those specific words.

We will focus first on the chorus to get familiar with it and then add in the verses as time allows.

We will finish class reviewing new vocabulary learned and signing the song together.  

*All signing skill levels are welcome but some signing vocabulary is needed as we will be practicing the song in full by the end of the class.  

**Please note:  Since sign language is a visual language, students will need their cameras on during the class so that the teacher can see if they are forming the correct hand shapes and facial expressions.
