Are you a student who loves history, science, sports, and music? Does the idea of learning about these topics while reading and writing about them excite you? If you answered "yes" you have found the perfect course for you! In this ongoing course, learners will engage with a new topic each and every session. I will introduce the topic with a question followed by a group reading with a related article from Read Works (readworks.org). After reading, we will briefly discuss the information we learned and answer a question set that will allow us to dig deeper into the content. I will project the ReadWorks content from my computer to our Zoom meeting. This is a wonderful way to support your learner and assist them with honing their reading and writing skills during the summer months. Daily Reading and Writing Topics: July 15th-Day1: Famous Buildings Article Name: The Sydney Opera House - Who built it and why - How long did it take to construct? July 16th-Day2: Inspiring Athletes Article Name: Wilma Rudolph- Star of the Track - Who was she and where did she grow up? - Why was track important for her? - Why is she recognized today? 教師專業知識和證書
碩士 在 心理學 從 City University of New York (CUNY) - John Jay College
Greetings! I'm Courtney and so pleased to meet you! I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University, a Masters Degree from The City University of New York, and a TESOL from Arizona State University.
For the past 7 years, I have worked with a startup as a professional college essay writer and have taught writing and literacy skills in-person and online to both K-12 and adult learners. In these classes, I would engage all of my learners in topics that were of interest to them. This allowed for speedy growth and progress in every aspect of their literacy, speaking, and writing development.
My classes are writing, conversation and literacy-based. Expect a book club, a creative writing class, a social club, and fun trivia as a few of my course offerings.
In my classes, I take a communicative approach to learning. I strive to meet your student where they are in their learning journey and support them from there. Whether it is a 1-day class or a 5-week class, the attention I give to your learner (and you) is personalized.
Speaking of personal, I am a mother of a wonderful 8 year-old. His creative and imaginative personality helps fuel mine. Also, I am from New York City and elephants, lemurs, coffee, and cooking are some of my favorite things.
I appreciate you for your time and look forward to meeting you and your learner in my class!
