Do you have a young creative person in your family looking for a new way to create that has no mistakes, they can't do it wrong, and in a judgement-free way environment?. This introductory class walks journalers through the four steps of art journaling: writing, painting, collage, and lettering. First, I will give journalers a prompt and when they are done with the writing they are free to share or not. Then...we paint over what we wrote keeping all our secrets safe. While the paint dries,...
On the technical side, journalers will learn a background paint technique, tips on how to collage and about composition. We will also cover creative lettering.
My youngest son has a learning disablities and doesn't write. I've developed techniques to allow non-writing writers who love and need to express themselves to not let writing, and penmanship stop the from participating. If you're learner resists writing, message me and we can discuss how art journaling can be a avenue of expression for them.
