藝術俱樂部：創造我們自己的神奇寶貝（Fakemon）

During this weekly, ongoing class, students will learn to draw Fake Pokemon (Fakemon). We will draw using a pencil first, and then, if time allows, the students may use colored pencils, markers, pens, and/ or crayons to color their drawings. 

Sometimes, the students can vote to either color or draw something else. If the students choose to draw something else, the students are encouraged to color after class and share it with everyone during the next class or post it to the classroom wall to share with everyone.

My goal for this class is to help spark creativity in the students and also to give the students practice to improve their artistic skills on a regular basis. Practice = progress.

During the class, we can socialize and talk about our favorite Pokemon and about creating Fakemon. We can talk about everyday life or each student's history with art. We can talk about whatever comes natural. 

⚠️ Note: Sometimes students request to draw their Fake Pokemon doing holiday activities like decorating a tree, going trick-or-treating, or celebrating a birthday. If you don't celebrate holidays, feel free to reach out and we'll talk about it. Thanks!

Students will be shown a worksheet via the screen sharing feature on zoom. I created this worksheet on Google Forms, which is an approved resource for students under the age of 13, per the Outschool policy. This form will show Pokemon features for the students to choose from, to help them form ideas for their Fakemon.

This class is learner-directed. Each week, the students will take turns choosing traits for their Fake Pokemon (Fakemon) they want to draw. They will be able to choose things like what type is the Fakemon, what is the Fakemon based on (i.e. animals, plants, objects, etc.), what part of the evolution is the Fakemon, and does the Fakemon have special features? We will do as many Fakemon as we can during the time that we have. 

If the student is slow at drawing, it's okay! We all create at our own pace, but unfortunately, we only have the time that we have so the student may be encouraged to finish their piece after class. The classes are recorded so the students are able to watch the recording, go at their own pace (by pausing the video), and try to draw it again.

Knowledge of prior drawing classes will not be necessary since there will be new Fakemon to draw every week. Students can join this class at any point without getting lost. This is a no pressure class. We are just drawing, socializing, and having fun! 

2 cameras will be used during class. 

Students will have the option to share their drawing during class, if they want to.

⚠️ Note: 
Even though I'm going to be showing my drawing with a second camera and students are more than welcome to copy what I draw, students are encouraged to use their imagination and draw what they like. This is a Fake Pokemon so there's no right or wrong way to draw it. This is less of a step-by-step class and more of a collaboration of ideas, socializing, creativity, and having fun type of class.
