Celebrate the season by creating this mixed media Christmas Nutcracker. We'll start the class by learning a little bit about the history of nutcrackers and look at several examples. We'll start by drawing our nutcracker then we'll use a variety of mark making tools to add details and color to our clever creations. At the end of class, we'll embellish our noble nutcrackers with a little sparkle and share our final creations with one another. As we create artists will be encouraged to share...
Students will have the opportunity to: learn about the history of nutcrackers use mixed media techniques to create socialize and share their holiday excitement with others
Stephanie is a k-12 certified art educator and arts in healthcare profession who has been teaching children and working with dementia care residents for over 20 years. Creating fun, engaging art experiences that are age appropriate and confidence building is her specialty, she'll use these skills to make art the most exciting and fun class of the week!
