Are you ready to decode messages? This is the second class for Are You Ready To Be A Detective? themed series. You do NOT need to take the first class before taking this one! Please note this class is completely different from the first class. This class is decoding messages using different strategies. 

It's time to put your detective hat on again because there are SECRET CODES that need to be solved!

During this class, I will provide you with different secret codes. It will be up to you to figure out the messages. You won't need a fingerprint kit to reach your conclusion. You will need to be able to use logic and reasoning. What could the message say? 

The secret codes may involve reading a short story and answering the questions correctly to figure out the code, solving math problems using code, deciphering a message after figuring out the code with minimal clues, or or using military codes.

Learners will be encouraged to work together to solve the codes. 

Solving these codes are a great way to practice reasoning skills. 
I ask the learners to type their answers into the chat which is sent to me privately. I do this to allow all learners a chance to answer the codes. I make sure to call on all learners. If your child chooses not to use the chat function, that is fine. 

** All classes will begin on time as long as there is at least one learner in the classroom. If there are no students in the class 10 minutes after the class start time, the teacher will exit the classroom. This class cannot be taught with zero students. No recording will be available for classes with zero attendance.
