課堂經歷

Calling creative kids! This weekly model-building workshop introduces many aspects of making architecture in a fun, interesting and hands-on way. Open-ended projects allow learners to explore, invent and design their own unique creations. Each of the projects start with building or drawing techniques to learn, try and practice. Learners are given a design challenge with examples of how they might accomplish it. They are then free to interpret the project how they wish.

Making architecture is a design process- it is never perfect or complete- but it can be a lot of fun and sometimes delightfully messy! This class guides learners through process-driven making with a new, open-ended project each week. The activities in this class help kids develop spatial perception- their ability to think and work in 3 dimensions- an important asset for studying architecture, geography and mathematics.

My teaching style is very encouraging, and my goal is to build up my students' self esteem and confidence so that they keep trying, even when things get difficult. I will be there for support and guidance along the way, always cheering them on.
