What will be taught? This course will teach essential skills for mastering APUSH multiple choice questions, SAQs, DBQs, and LEQs. Students will learn strategies to analyze questions, craft strong arguments, and manage their time effectively for exam day. What topics will you cover? Each week focuses on a key component of the APUSH exam: -Multiple choice strategies and practice. -Writing and structuring SAQs, DBQs, and LEQs. -Analyzing historical documents and incorporating evidence. -Timed practice sessions and mini-exam simulation. How is your class structured? Each 50-minute session includes a combination of: -Warm-ups to review key concepts. -Strategy-focused mini-lessons. -Hands-on practice with feedback. -Group discussions to reinforce learning. How will you teach? I’ll use a mix of interactive lectures, games, slides, and video clips to keep students engaged. Activities are designed to help students apply what they learn immediately, with plenty of real APUSH questions and practice questions. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is dynamic, student-centered, and approachable. I focus on breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps while making learning engaging and interactive. How much will learners get to interact with you? Pre-Requisites
Students should be enrolled in AP US History and preparing for their upcoming AP exam! Students should have at least basic knowledge of the types of writing on the APUSH exam (SAQ, DBQ, LEQ).
