學士學位 在 數學 從 Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania
Hi everyone! I've been teaching kids for over a decade as a 1-on-1 tutor, small group instructor, and classroom teacher in a homeschool co-op that I founded. I love learning. My university education is in STEM, having received my B.S. from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2009, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Computer Science. I have also spent my adult life continuing to educate myself, taking a personal interest in history and literature, using homeschool education as a springboard to dive deep into self-directed study. My experience is with students of all ages, so I aim to offer classes on a variety of subjects, as well as 1-on-1 tutoring for any subject I have a background in.
I believe that strong education comes from the powerful combination of an expert instructor with an interested student. In my classes, I try to facilitate both aspects of this, by communicating clearly and rigorously about the subject matter, while inviting students to solve problems, think critically, and suggest new avenues of discovery.
In addition to my intellectual interests, I am an avid fan of board games and card games of all sorts. Some of my favorites include Burgle Bros, Dominion, Pandemic, and Pai Sho.
