This review course offers 8 classes that will each be 1.5 hours in length, totaling 12 live instructional hours. Each class reviews 1 of the 8 total AP Biology units from the College Board AP Biology Curriculum. These sessions work great as refreshers before a class exam or the AP Biology test! Each class meeting will review the major concepts and key vocabulary terms from one of the eight AP biology units. The units are presented in the same order as College Board lists them in the course. Topics will be presented via a PowerPoint in class, and helpful videos from YouTube will be embedded into the presentation when appropriate to help illustrate complex concepts. Students will receive: 🧬A guided note packet that will be sent out 24 hours prior to the start of the class that students can fill out throughout the lesson and can use as a study resource after. 🧬Access to an exclusive Quizizz quiz to test their knowledge of the unit. Some questions will be formatted similarly to College Board's style of questions to help students gain extra practice for the AP exam. Students receive instant feedback after completion of the quiz and can review their answers and view a detailed explanation of the correct answer. 🧬Access to a Quizlet vocabulary deck for each of the units. All 8 decks total 472 vocabulary terms, which students can use to familiarize themselves with the terms that often appear on the exams. Quizlet is a free app that offers several different game types to engage learners and help them retain vocabulary. The app also remembers the words that are missed most often and will cycle these words through more often. AP Biologists can sign up for the entire course or choose to pay weekly. Partial refunds are available if learners are unable to attend the entire course and will be pro-rated via the Outschool platform based on the number of sessions the learner has attended.

Chemistry of Life
Biologists will review the structure, function, and main properties of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Functional groups and basic chemistry concepts will also be included. Finally, the properties of water and carbon's role in biological compounds will be covered. 90 分鐘線上直播課

Cell Structure and Function
Biologists will review the main components of the cell membrane and how this affects transport in and out of the cell. Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells will be compared and contrasted. A general review of cell organelles and their functions is also part of this lesson. 90 分鐘線上直播課

Cellular Energetics
Biologists will review the 3 main cellular energy generating pathways that are covered in the AP Bio Curriculum: Glycolysis, Photosynthesis, and Cellular Respiration. The main steps of each process and the products will discussed. 90 分鐘線上直播課

To help provide a supportive environment for all learners, I incorporate the following strategies:

During this class, YouTube videos may be utilized to help learners visualize some concepts. These videos will be screenshared by me during class time, and links can be provided to learners upon request. These videos are appropriate for high school learners and are free of profanity, sexual content, and other illicit behavior.
This unit also comes with a Quizlet vocabulary flashcard deck built by me to help learners master key vocabulary. Learners will receive the password to this deck upon enrollment.
To assess knowledge and help learners identify areas that they need to spend more time reviewing, classes will include a Quizizz quiz after each class. These quizzes will include AP style multiple choice exam questions to help learners practice with this format, as well as other types of questions that will test subject mastery. Students do not need to create an account to take these quizzes.

Students should be enrolled in a full length AP Biology course. This Bootcamp is designed to supplement test review of the concepts only. It does not include labs or calculations, which also appear on the exam.
