In this ongoing drawing course, students will learn how to sketch a realistic animal portraits of an arctic fox, baby monkey, koala, bald eagle, chameleon lizard, and llama. Please note that since this is an ongoing course, students can enroll or withdraw at any time. Each scheduled meeting will be spent sketching ONE animal. Arctic Fox Sketch: 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of an arctic fox. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching a full body portrait of an arctic fox. Baby Monkey Sketch: 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a baby monkey. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching medium length fur/hair. 4. Students will learn techniques for sketching realistic eyes. Koala Sketch: 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a koala bear. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching fur/hair. 4. Students will learn techniques for sketching realistic tree bark texture. Bald Eagle Sketch: 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a bald eagle. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching feathers. Chameleon Lizard Sketch: 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a chameleon lizard. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching scaly/textured skin. 4. Students will learn techniques for sketching realistic tree bark. Llama Sketch: 1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a llama. 2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast. 3. Students will learn techniques for sketching short-medium length fur. 4. Students will learn techniques for sketching a realistic llama eye.

6 註冊後即可取得文件REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS: -Paper (Preferably drawing paper, but if you do not have this, regular paper is fine.) -Pencil -Regular everyday eraser (new pencil top erasers work best) -Pencil sharpener -A printed or electronic copy of the animal reference photo we will sketch each week (available upon enrollment, found in the welcome post in the classroom tab.) -Blending tool (We will practice blending skills a lot in these classes. If you do not have blending stumps, please bring a tissue and/or a Q-Tip. If you are unable to get these supplies, students are fine to use their fingers to blend.) WHAT THE TEACHER WILL BE USING (OPTIONAL): -Drawing paper OR Sketchbook (You can purchase a sketchbook for around $10 on Amazon.) -Wooden pencil -Pencil sharpener -Kneaded eraser (You can purchase a kneaded eraser for around $5 on Amazon.) -Regular everyday eraser -Drawing pencils (You can purchase drawing pencils for around $10 on Amazon.)
