In Animal Anatomy 101: Rabbits, students will learn the basics of the rabbit structure such as the body parts, skeletal system, organ system, venous system, and arterial system. This class will be structured with pre-recorded videos of lectures and short clips of explanations for each week/lesson along with PowerPoints to serve as a visual format. While this course is planned be intermediate, there may be so advanced terminology involved and therefore it's always best that students have taken a human biology course (although it's not required!). Students will be given assignments each week in the format of a diagram to fill out, discussion board, brief essays, and/or PowerPoint. While this is a self-paced course, I aim to be available for those that need a little more TLC on these topics and will gladly be available to reach on Outschool with any questions. My teaching style is mostly visual as I feel that students learn better by seeing what they are being taught and this is why diagrams and illustrations will heavily be infused in this class.
學習目標
Students learn and gain an understanding of the functions of the bones, organs, and blood vessels. With this information gained, students will be able to apply to high school and even college courses pertaining to small animals.

課 2:
Bones! (Introduction to the Skeletal System)
Get ready! It's time to learn about the skeletal system of the rabbit. Here we will start with the main bones (i.e femur, pelvis, skull, etc)
課 3:
Part 2 of the Skeletal System (Vertebrae and Teeth)
This lesson is part 2 of our study of the rabbit's skeletal system. We will learn about the vertebrae and teeth. In this lesson, we will wrap up what we've learned in weeks 2 and 3. Students will be given an assignment to test what they've learned so far.
課 4:
Internal Organs
In this lesson, we will begin to learn about the organs of the rabbit. We will start with the thoracic cavity, learn the function of each organ, and work our way down to the intestines. Students will be given an assignment to test their knowledge so far.

學習需求
Students with learning needs are encouraged to reach out to me for direct help with any of the subjects taught in this course. Because this course is self-paced, students do not need to feel rushed or overwhelmed when completing this class.
父母的引導和規範
This course will frequently refer to the anatomy of rabbits. While most of the diagrams will be illustrations, there may be pictures of actual skeletal bones and organs from rabbit cadavers strictly for learning purposes.
先決條件
Students should have a basic understanding of what a skeletal system is. Basic biology/science knowledge is preferred.
供應清單

學士學位 在 動物科學 從 Becker College
I have been in the veterinary medicine field for 6 years now. Rabbits (lagomorphs) are a species that I personally specialize in and have worked with for the majority of my animal career (aside from dogs). I am well versed in rabbit biology and behavior and have decided to take what I've learned throughout the years and teach it to a younger audience. While I have not worked closely with children in a teaching setting, I have educated children who have walked through the doors of the clinics I've worked at so they can better understand my job and their pet's health.
