Learners will analyze primary source documents and answer comprehension questions based on a primary source. These activities should not take more than one hour to complete評估
Learners will be assessed informally in each class through verbal comprehension checks and class discussion. Each class will begin with a quick review of the activities from the previous week's class to ensure students understood the material. Explore the fascinating journey of Early Man in this engaging PowerPoint and guided notes activity. This course will utilize a PowerPoint presentation and a guided notes packet focused on the origins of modern humans, early hominids, and the transition from the Paleolithic to Neolithic eras. This unit covers a wide range of topics, including Carbon Dating, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Neanderthals, Cro-Magnons, and Homo Sapiens. Students will learn about the discovery and significance of key figures in human evolution, as well as the differences between the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods. Additionally, students will explore notable Early Man sites such as Stonehenge, Aleppo, Jericho, and Catal Huyuk, gaining insight into how archaeological discoveries have deepened our understanding of human history. This lesson provides a thorough exploration of the progression and impact of Early Man throughout history. This course is designed to be mostly a PowerPoint presentation with some videos that are relevant to the topic. Students will review what they learned in the previous lesson, then transition to the new content, and the class will end with a comprehension check to ensure students understand the new material. All students will need to have a functional camera and microphone as class discussions are an essential component of the course. Students will be provided with a guided note worksheet in a pdf format to meet each student’s needs. During the final class, students will review what they have learned by completing an interactive Kahoot game. Students need no prior knowledge to get the most out of this class!
