課堂經歷

英語程度 - 未知
Intermediate 等級
In this comprehensive program, learners will explore human facial anatomy for the artists.
Learners will work on a self-portrait each week that consists of a study of the planes of the face, the skeletal and muscular structures, and will complete with a full pencil rendering.

Learners can expect to work 1-2 hours per week on material, more or less time depending on their personal workflow.
This is an intermediate/advanced drawing class and a keen interest in drawing is recommended. Further support regarding new concepts is available.

> In week one we review facial proportions, we go over the materials needed, the resources and reference we are using, and there is a bit of preparatory homework in week one to get ready.
> In week two we look at the skull and the four bone structures that create likeness.
> In week three we look at the planes of the face and how to identify them and what they mean for light and shadow
> In week four we work on muscle structure and render half of the face in muscular system pertinent to portraits
> In week five we render the facial features with skin hair and all the details we are used to observing. We also talk about putting our work together and presenting it in a portfolio.

Teacher interaction will be high in this program to guide artists through the materials. Materials will include videos, assignments, exercises, and discussions. Learners should have the ability, or help from a caregiver, to watch videos, share work, ask questions and engage in class discussions with the teacher.
Learners should be familiar with drawing and shading.

By the end of this program, learners will be able to view the face and have and understanding of the anatomy to apply to their portrait drawing practice.

If learners have completed the coursework, by the end of the program learners will have a self-portrait composition that shows: pencil rendering, the planes of the face, a rendering of the skull and muscles, with labeled anatomy.

Muscles of the Face
Time to look at muscle structure and render half of the face in muscular system pertinent to portraits. This lesson gives us a better understanding of what's happening under the skin and why our faces move the way that they do.
