Have you ever wanted to learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons? Well now is the time to do it! D&D is one of the fastest growing games out there and is played by people of all ages- so get involved and get your dice ready! In this course we will learn the basics D&D- what the game is, what the core gameplay mechanics are, how to use all those different dice, and how to create interesting and unique characters that will leave an impression on any group you decide to play with. Over the course of four weeks, learners will gain a strong foundational knowledge about how to play the game, how to role-play within the game, and what classes (i.e. Fighter, Rogue, Wizard, etc.) they have the most fun playing.

Students will learn the basic gameplay mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons by examining core rule books and engaging in group practice and discussion.Students will learn how to create interesting and unique characters with guidance from the teacher by workshopping and experimenting with different ideas and strategies.

Dungeons and Dragons takes place in fantasy worlds where content such as conflict, combat, and monsters are common.
Additionally, if the need arises for gamer tags to be utilized for DND Beyond, parents will share those with me directly through private messages. Gamer tags on DND Beyond will never be shared between learners, or from teacher to other learners in the class.

Learners are welcome to have notebooks or paper to take any notes they see fit, but most of the supplies we will use are going to be digtal.
