In this class, students will be learning fun math tricks to help them multiply quickly and easily. We do not use skip counting or memorization, but patterns, number relationships, and simpler math skill instead. These math tricks help improve mental math and can help students easily complete simple and difficult multiplication problems. Students are expected to be fluent in addition, subtraction, and how to half a number. How the class is structured: 1. Learn how the trick works 2. Practice the trick 3. Complete a word problem using the math trick Students will learn 4 tricks in this class. 1. Times 4 2. Times 5 3. Times 6 4. Times 9
