Alphabet Basics and Beginning Sentences is an exciting class for the new English learner! This course is designed for beginning English students ages 3-7. Students will actively engage in learning the alphabet as well as basic sentences. During class each slide will have a letter of the alphabet, a word that begins with that letter and a sentence. Students will listen to the teacher say the letter and sound and the student will repeat. The teacher will listen and praise/correct the student as needed. The teacher will then say the word and the student may repeat if they are able. The teacher will then say the sentence, and the student may repeat if able, followed by teacher feedback. I will be teaching using the I do, we do, you do method. Students are not required to have any English speaking background before attending class, but are encouraged to listen to the teacher and repeat letters and sounds. *ESL and beginning English students welcome!

Students will be able to say words beginning with the letter on a slide.
Students will be able to repeat sentences after the teacher.

Hello! My name is Teacher Erica, and I would love to teach your child! I live in the United States. I enjoy gardening, nature, and spending time with my family. Along with my husband, I have two teen children, one dog, and one cat. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Empire State College. I am currently a student in a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education teaching program. I have tutored thousands of ESL classes from age 3 to adult. I have substitute taught numerous classes in public schools from science to reading in grades K-12. I have also tutored college students in English. It is my goal to help all children learn in a relaxed and comfortable environment. I teach with various learning methods for example, I do, we do, you do.
