50 States! What is on the state flag? How is the weather and climate? What makes each state unique? Where is the state located on the map? What is the capital? How big is it compared to other states? How many people live there? Does this state have tornadoes or hurricanes? Does this state have earthquakes or volcanoes? I provide printable pages for each lesson. We will color them together as we learn about the state of the day. I use pictures and well edited videos for each lesson. The flexible schedule allows your younger learners to watch the videos and color the learning sheets at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a time that is convenient to them to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post 2-3 new lessons a week. I will also share youtube videos with catchy songs that are helpful to recalling the states and capitals. Student Interaction: Students will be provided with a blank map of the USA, and 1-2 learning pages about each state. As we go through each state, students will draw pictures, place stickers and color. Students will share their completed worksheets and at least one thing they learned about the state in the classroom. The prizes will be totaled at the end of each week and shared by live video. The prizes will be comprised of the groups total submissions. I use my ice cream magnets and layer them on my whiteboard. Each correct answer earns another scoop for the giant ice cream cone. The more correct answers the team gets - the more extravagant the ice cream cone will be. Throughout each week, we will be posting our worksheets in the Outschool classroom, sharing videos and discussing our favorite part of each State (all in the Outschool classroom)! Week 1: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana Week 2: Illinois, Wisconsin, Massachusetts Week 3: New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Week 4: New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut Week 5: Rhode Island, Delaware, New Jersey Week 6: Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia Week 7: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia Week 8: Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee Week 9: Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana Week 10: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Week 11: Missouri, Kansas, Iowa Week 12: Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Week 13: Montana, Wyoming and Idaho Week 14: Colorado, New Mexico, Utah Week 15: Arizona, Nevada, California Week 16: Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii

Hello parents and students,
I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. VIPKID taught me how to engage with students in a virtual setting. They taught me how to use props, singing and demonstrations to increase learning. I encourage student output and participation during class.
I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years.
