What is All About Spelling? All About Spelling is a multi-sensory, hands-on approach to mastering spelling. It is a building block program, meaning that each new lesson builds on the last. It also includes a built-in review during each lesson. All About Spelling uses the Orton-Gillingham approach, which simplifies the English language by focusing on why words are spelled the way they are. My Experience and Why *I* Use All About Spelling I am certified teacher. I also used All About Spelling to teach my own children. They were successful because it was multi-sensory, engaging, and made sense to them. Our Class This class is for all spelling levels! Each class will be planned to meet the needs of the individual learner. Your learner will set the pace for the class and I will meet them where they are, no matter the level. If you are just beginning, All About Spelling recommends beginning with level 1. This will give your learner a strong foundation of ALL of the letter sounds. After class, I will provide a summary of what we learned and what the student can practice before our next lesson. Each lesson provides a built-in review, so we will continue to build on previous lessons. I will also provide additional teacher created activities in areas that need extra support. I want them to succeed! What You Will Need Each student will need a student pack and set of letters, if you do not already have them. These can be purchased through All About Spelling or one of their suppliers. A dry erase board and marker is also very helpful. (Paper and pencil also works just fine.) Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. Permission I have been given permission by All About Spelling to offer these tutoring sessions. All About Spelling requires that students have their own Student Packet and a set of Letter Tiles or the Letter Tiles App. Teachers / tutors are also not able to upload the materials to any online platform or convert any material to digital formats (PDFs, video, photos, etc.). Questions Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or if you do not see a time / day that works for you. I am excited to team with you and your learner! **Policy** Per Outschool policy, if a student is more than 10 minutes late, it will be considered a missed class and not eligible for a refund. If a students needs to cancel class, I will offer a reschedule when possible or issue a refund, as long as I am notified more than 24 hours in advance. In the case of a teacher scheduling conflict, I will offer to reschedule the class or issue a refund for the missed class. Thank you so much for respecting my time. :o)

Hello!
Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia! My name is Teri Delvac. I am a Georgia certified teacher and I have been working in the field of Education for over 25 years. I have a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Mercer University. After college, I spent several years working with young children in preschool and elementary school. I had the unique opportunity to own and operate a private early childhood school. I developed the school's curriculum for both the kindergarten and pre-kindergarten classes. After earning my Master's Degree, I taught elementary school age students. During this time, I served on the curriculum team where I continued my passion of curriculum development. I also earned my English as a Second Language Endorsement. I worked with ESL students in my classroom, and also began working with adult learners. I have taught English to students online for the last five years. I also homeschool my own two children. I have used my experience in the classroom and as a curriculum designer to create an interesting, engaging, and complete curriculum for them throughout the years.
I love developing hands-on, student centered lessons. I strive to create a warm and inviting classroom environment where children feel safe to ask questions, try new things, and even make mistakes! This is how we all learn and grow. Life is full of opportunities when we have the confidence to try. Learning truly opens up the world.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family. I have two amazing children. My son is 17 and my daughter is 14. We like to travel, explore new places and play board games. (Catan has been our favorite family game for the last few years!) I also love animals. We currently have three dogs and one cat.
I am very excited to share my passion for learning with your child. Let's go on a learning adventure together!
