課堂經歷
Empathy is an extremely important skill for young children to learn. This FLEX class combines my four stand alone classes on Empathy while allowing learners to complete at their own schedule. This is a FLEX class that encourages student interaction, communication and growth. During the month we will work on completing a "Kindness Calendar" which encourages good deeds, and the thinking of other people. Once each task is completed, learners can colour the squares in for a visual of their kindness. Monday - The video of the week will be posted and will include an activity for learners to work on. Wednesday is a check in day - Feel free to ask any questions as well as answer the "Empathy Question" posted in the classroom. Friday - Learners will post their activity in the classroom and will be provided with feedback. Week 1 - Have You Filled a Bucket? - What are our Invisible buckets? How can we fill the buckets of others? Week 2 - Friendship Traits - What traits do we look for in a friend, and what makes US a good friend to others? Week 3 - Putting Yourself in Someone Else's Shoes - How are we the same, how are we different? Week 4 - Empathy Scenarios in our Daily Lives - How can we show empathy to others in these every day scenarios? Monday - The video of the week will be posted and will include an activity for learners to work on. Wednesday is a check in day - Feel free to ask any questions as well as answer the "Empathy Question" posted in the classroom. Friday - Learners will post their activity in the classroom and will be provided with feedback. At the end of the 4 weeks if all activities are completed, learners will achieve an "Empathy Award"
