Together we will brainstorm caterpillar and butterfly facts and discuss the life cycle of a butterfly. During the directed drawing portion of the class, the students will draw and color a butterfly life cycle. They will share the butterfly with their classmates, if they feel comfortable doing so. The students will then label the life cycle stages using...
-Student will use listening skills by focusing on caterpillar and butterfly facts. -Student will use research skills to gather information about the lifecycle of a butterfly. -Student will use creative skills by drawing and coloring a butterfly life cycle. -Student will use writing skills to create sentences and labels about the life cycle of a butterfly.
The students will need paper, a pencil and crayons or colored pencils.
