"All About Automobiles!" is an engaging online course for grades 4-7, covering automotive engineering, design, history, customization, and future technologies. We'll explore everything from engine basics to self-driving cars in six weekly lessons. Each class combines interactive lectures, virtual demonstrations, and hands-on activities. My teaching style is dynamic and inquiry-based, encouraging critical thinking and creativity. Students will participate in: - Lecture, short video clips and slides (15 minutes) - Live discussion and Q&A (15 minutes per class) - Writing and design challenges with discussions (15 minutes) Learners will create diagrams, write short essays, and develop innovative car concepts, receiving personalized feedback throughout the course. We will explore the ever-increasing role of electronics in modern vehicles. Students will learn about onboard computers, sensors, and control systems that manage everything from engine performance to safety features. The lesson will include an introduction to concepts like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and traction control.
