課堂經歷
This course focuses on learning to identify some primary emotions behind anger using the book "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day." First, students will identify Alexander's primary emotions. Next students will discuss their own typical reactions to a bad experience. Then, students will work with me to develop a plan for an anger-inducing moment. Finally, I will introduce their "homework" in the form of an anger-wheel that they can use to process their own...
Students will learn to identify some typical primary emotions underlying the secondary emotion of anger. They will learn to identify these emotions first by examining the book character "Alexander" as he navigates through a very bad day. Next students will discuss an anger-provoking situation in their own lives and process through it using worksheets they will have at home. Last, students will learn to use an "anger wheel" for use at a later time to process through their emotions at home with their parents.
I have a master's degree in special education with an emphasis in behavior. I teach social skills to elementary school children on a daily basis.
I will email the necessary worksheets to all students prior to class.
