課堂經歷
Every class, we will focus on a new letter of the alphabet. Students will bring an item from their home (a toy, a stuffed animal, a drawing, food, etc.) that begins with the letter we will be studying.* We will begin class by introducing ourselves and using the letter of the week to describe ourselves. (Ex. "Our letter of the day is S! My name is Ms. Cubby, and I am silly!") Then, we will sing a song to help us remember the phonics of our letter. For the rest of our time, we will take turns presenting our item for show-and-tell! Students will tell the class about their item, what they use it for, and what they like about it. Students will repeat the word and Ms. Cubby will write down the word on a whiteboard for the class to learn phonetically. After each child has been given the opportunity to present their item, we will play a variety of games that involve our letter of the day and enhance students' reading and comprehension capabilities. This may include games such as "I Spy", "Which One Doesn't Belong?", "Guess the Drawing", "Word Building", and much more! We will end class by singing the alphabet song, if time allows. Here is the breakdown for the letters of the week: Week of 5/16: A, B & C Week of 5/23: D, E & F Week of 5/30: G, H & I Week of 6/6: J, K & L Week of 6/13: M, N & O Week of 6/20: P, Q & R Week of 6/27: S, T, & U Week of 7/4: V, W, X, Y, & Z *If a student is not able to bring something starting with the letter we will be discussing, they may bring an item of their choice and describe it with a word starting with the same letter. For example, a student does not have an item starting with the letter "F", but they may choose to bring a teddy bear and describe it as "fuzzy" or "fantastic" when it is their turn to present.

教師專業知識和證書
Hi! My name is Ms. Cubby. I have unique experience in a variety of subjects, working with a wide range of ages from toddlers to teens. Voice, acting, dance, ukulele, cooking, baking, reading comprehension, and writing skills are among my many areas of expertise (and some of my favorites, if I do say so myself)!
I am the owner of my own business of performing arts education where I have been teaching over the past six years. Having taught children ages 3-18 the art of voice, acting, and dance, I have striven to bring a stimulating and hands-on dynamic when working with students that I have cultivated from my many years' training in these three specialties of performing arts. When children are confident in their abilities and live out loud, the world around us becomes a more colorful place.
My classroom is a community of positivity, encouragement, and charity. My teaching style focuses on matching the spirit and vigor that of my students in order for them to get the most out of their classes with me. My experience as a Montessori teacher and working hands-on with children ages 0-6 has led me to value independence in my students; children are bursting with creativity and innovation. I strive to guide lessons in a way that allows the student to feel confident in their abilities.
