非洲代數（歷史預代數準備課程）

Students will learn foundational pre-algebra skills while learning one historical fact about mathematics in every class. The premise of the class is, first and foremost to improve the self-confidence of each student in mathematics by giving them exposure to key Algebraic skills, inspiring students' motivation by learning about past mathematical historical figures based on the research formulated from the historical text Stolen Legacy by George G.M. James which refutes the Euro-centric myth that the origin of Mathematics is Greek.  This book was seminal in leading to a radical reappraisal of a philosophical system long thought to be of European origin. 

While gaining a better understanding of key mathematical concepts and learning inspirational historical mathematical themes, students will be practicing growth mindset behaviors, which consist of learning how to be proactive learners..

The class is structured so that we can go over warm-up questions and growth mindset concepts. We will cover a specific math lesson, then get introduced to mathematical historical concepts (in a fun way), and then last, we play a math review/trivia game.
