Loosely inspired by Descendants, this fun camp focuses on using each learner’s creativity through various mediums while building creative thinking skills through collaborative story building, creation of artwork, and team work. Learners are encouraged to come to class each session “In role” (dressed as their character would dress, portraying or acting the part of their character). Students will build their collaboration and teamwork skills by completing puzzles and crafts, and using knowledge of literature, literacy skills, and creativity.

Materials for week 3-5 will be based on the items and locations learners select in week 1 and 2. Basic materials may include: Scissors Hot glue Elmer’s glue tin foil Coloring medium (crayon, marker, pencils, paint and brushes) Dowel Scraps of paper or felt Beads, glitter, sequins and other small trinkets Paper (blank printer paper, card-stock, tissue paper, sketchbook paper etc) Smooth rock acrylic paint or sharpies cardboard pipe cleaner Paper plate Fabric (felt or cotton and fabric markers)
