This one-time class dives deeper into a specific survival skill, building shelters, Students will touch on history, math, science, nature, and culture while exploring the topic of shelter building for survival situations.  This class is a great way to engage imaginations while learning critical life skills. Some of the topics we will cover include:

Making an appropriate shelter for your situation 
Site selection
Material to use
Prioritizing basic needs
Time management 
Conserving resources, including energy
Staying calm and letting logic and reasoning lead decision-making  
and of course how to build!
