課堂經歷
In this class, students will be introduced to higher place value skills and rounding larger numbers. The class will begin with a review of place value in the ones, tens, and hundreds places using base ten blocks before introducing thousands, ten thousands, and hundred thousands places. From here, students will use the same skills to discuss the millions place and beyond and will practice reading larger numbers properly. The remainder of class will be focused on introducing rounding numbers to specific place values. Students will be challenged to round the same number to different place values. This class is targeted around 4th-5th grade math students but will be appropriate for some advanced younger students or older students that need additional review or support.

I'm an accountant with a teaching background who enjoys learning and strives to foster a love of learning in students through games and interactive learning. I believe students learn best when they are having fun and interacting with the material.
I have always had a passion for learning and have diverse interests. I'm especially passionate about building strong foundations in language and math. I believe confidence in these two areas will give students the tools to learn almost anything they'd like to in life.
As an accountant, I have expertise in mathematics and finance. I'm an Enrolled Agent and believe everyone should be proficient in budgeting and personal finance. I believe a strong foundation in math is important to develop advanced skills with numbers later in life. Likewise, strong grammar and language skills will help students communicate effectively and give them the tools to learn anything they'd like to. I'm also passionate about culture and language and have formally studied nine languages, including studying abroad. I want to share the world with students through language and exploration.
I hope to share my love of learning with each of my students as they explore their personal interests. In doing so, students will become lifelong learners and continue to grow in and out of the classroom.
