Students will have the opportunity to try out the two column note taking strategy to evaluate if it would be useful to them in an academic setting.
Bridget Smith is a teacher and parent with ADHD. Her focus on Outschool is supporting students with ADHD, other neurodiverse learners, and students with learning differences. She has taught over 2000 learners with ADHD and executive function challenges here on Outschool. She is the mom of two teenagers and enjoys working with this age group. She is a credentialed teacher who has taught preschoolers through adult learners. Bridget holds two credentials from the State of California that certify her to teach K-12 Students. She has taught middle schoolers and highschoolers in diverse educational settings throughout her career in education.
A two column note taking template, and one page guide to two column note taking will be provided in our classroom and should be printed out if possible. A pen or pencil that the student is comfortable taking notes with is required. We use the online/app based program Kahoot! in this class, but students also have the option to play along in the chat. If your child wishes to participate via Kahoot! they can split screen, open an additional window, or use the Kahoot! app on a different device.
