Welcome to Virtual Performing Arts Academy. This performance class for kids is perfect for your budding artist. In this one week class, students will learn the fundamentals of acting while working on a short performance. This is a fun and active class. Each student will have a role in the production, and have fun bringing their character to life. Virtual Performing Arts Academy prides itself in being a fun, supportive teaching studio where every child is a star. Students do not need any prior experience to join this class and students with prior experience will learn, grow, and be challenged as well! During the course students will learn: Memorization Techniques Blocking Characterization Movement Skills Improvisation Technical Theatre Vocabulary: Costumes, Set Design, and more! The class is structured as follows: Drama Warm-up Drama Game/Improvisation Technique Day Focus Rehearsal Recap and Goodbyes Day 1: Getting to know you/Reading the Script/Auditioning Day 2: Character and Movement Exploration Day 3: Having fun with the character/Improv Exploration/Memorization Day 4: Blocking and Setting the Show - Technical Theatre Talk Dress Rehearsal Day 5: Show!

We believe that all our students can be successful. We pride ourselves on building an online community and offering personalized learning. Our teachers have attended top improvisation programs including The Second City Conservatory, Annoyance, Magnet, and more. Our dance teachers have trained with renowned schools in NYC. All of our teachers are professional performers with a minimum of a BA degree.
