課堂經歷
**Please request a time that works for you, or reach out to me to schedule if you don't see a time you want!!** I provide private coaching for 8-13 year old actors! As a theater director (and producer and choreographer), I know what it takes to really break down the scene or monologue to become the best actor you can! We will look at the scenes and monologues and find the beats, what should be emphasized, and what is important for the character. It is so fun to dive in and put on different personalities and play various parts- we will work on how to do this most effectively. The first class, we will find out what you like to do and work on a scene. If there is time, we will start a monologue. The second class, we will work on the beats and intentions of the monologue. The subsequent classes will be tailored to each learner, their preferences, and what we are working on ongoing. We also work on how to do commercials, self tapes, slating, auditioning, and improv. All from an authentic- organic start.

For the past 20 years, I have been the producing artistic director of a youth theater company doing musicals with kids and teens. I do everything from picking the shows, auditions, directing, choreography, and even costumes! I also teach all kinds of arts classes, from kindergarten through adult. Not only do I love to sing and dance, I also love to read, travel, and I've been cooking up a storm. While I have been doing theater my whole life, I went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. During that time, I worked behind the scenes on BROADWAY at the Palace theater for Beauty and the Beast, and at the New Amsterdam Theater for King David, The Premier of Hercules, and Lion King. I have worked off- BROADWAY as well, as a director/ choreographer at the Times Square Experience Center, Dylan's, The Duplex, and The Player's Theater. I went on to earn my Bachelor's in English Literature, my Master's in Liberal Studies with a certificate in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and my Doctorate in Literary Studies with a Musical Theater Scholarly Dissertation. Teaching is so fun because I get to share skills with you, in a really fun way, and best part is, you are the star!! 評論
