This class is designed specifically for newcomers to the art of paper folding. For those who are not sure if they are ready for the commitment of a weekly origami club ( also offered !) or those simply looking to try something new, this one time course is a purely instructional and interactive approach to this often daunting skill. We will focus on the basics. Through live demonstration from a variety of angles, teacher- guided patterns will be unveiled slowly and methodically. Folds and...
Students will learn the fundamentals of Paper folding through delightful animals, buildings, and geometric shapes. These skills will be presented in a fun, relaxed, and achievable way allowing learners to enjoy the process as the enhance fine motor skills and make paper come to life. 3 dimensional figures will be emphasized as students are gently guided using geometric reasoning, balance, and creativity.

Participants will have a wide assortment of completed animals, buildings, and shapes by the end of the class. Each shape builds on the piece before it, as learners gain confidence through repetitive base steps.提供的成績
Multiple sheets of origami paper are strongly recommended for this class. Otherwise printer paper and scissors will be sufficient. Coloring and drawing utensils are optional.

Learners needing assistance using scissors (needed to trim printer paper if origami paper is unavailable) should have an adult participating for the beginning 10 minutes of the class. Please feel free to contact me beforehand with any questions regarding supplies !
