Students will feel prepared to show up with their best to their AP Music Theory examination. Through experiential learning and projects, students will not just memorize, but absorb advanced musical concepts.

Lydia Tabor:

Lydia is a violinist, pianist, and singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. She graduated with a degree in K-12 Instrumental Music Education from Appalachian State University, and is dedicated to applying research-based teaching methods and integrating imagination and creativity in every lesson.
 
She is grateful for the way that studying music has contributed to her own ability to engage with the world around her, and hopes to inspire in her students a fascination with music and a love for learning.  In addition to teaching music lessons, Lydia is thrilled to have recorded her first album as a singer-songwriter, where her love for classical orchestration is illustrated throughout her work.

Students will have weekly assignments, to be submitted no later than midnight of the day before. It is very important all students commit to weekly practice, for the best learning experience for all.

We will have quizzes and projects that regularly assess students' readiness for the AP Music Theory Exam. Students will also participate in 2 full practice tests.
