There will be an initial assessment of student alphabet sound knowledge as well as pre-reading skills such as listening to a word and repeating the first sound. This class will follow the research-based Orton-Gillingham approach (structured, multisensory method for teaching literacy skills, particularly reading, writing, and spelling). The first session will assess what students know and lessons will be tailored to meet the specific needs of each learner, allowing for flexibility and adaptation based on individual strengths and challenges. Students will be taught multi-sensory and engaging approaches such as tapping sounds, singing songs, air writing, movements for specific letter sounds, etc.

No-Show and Cancellation Policy:
Please be aware that I require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If a student misses a session without prior notice, the class will not be refunded, and makeup sessions will not be offered. Please ensure your child is able to attend or inform me if there are any issues ahead of time. Thank you for your understanding.
