1. In this class, students will extend their understanding of the base-ten system by viewing 10 tens as forming a new unit called a hundred. This lays the groundwork for understanding the structure of the base-ten system. 2. We will cover understanding place value 3. Class Structure -Greeting -Number Talk -Direct Instruction -Guided Student Practice -Formative Assessment - I will share a re-engagement activity on the Outschool classroom platform after each lesson. 4. I believe in a happy classroom where students can share their connections and math strategies with the class. 5. Students will communicate with each other and the teacher throughout the course.
