A Moment in Time - Women in History. Join us each week as we learn about different women in history, the details of their experiences, and the impact they left on the world. Learners will have time to discuss each week's woman in history, answer trivia, ask questions and share their own knowledge of the person. Weekly activities may include puzzles, trivia, a quiz, or a game that the teacher has created to help learners retain the information they have learned. Weekly Topics - August 4th - Joan of Arc August 11th - Rosa Parks August 18th - Patsy Mink August 25th - Henrietta Lacks Marie Curie Clara Barton Queen Elizabeth II Josephine Baker Marsha P. Johnson Julia Child Madam C.J. Walker Cecilia Chung Jane Goodall Grace Hopper Frida Kahlo Gladys Bentley Anna Jarvis Bessie Coleman Josephine Cochran Open discussion during class time may include topics such as racism, discrimination, LGBTQ+, violence and sexism. All topics during open discussion will be age appropriate and related to the weekly women in history subject. This class is inclusive and everyone is welcome. Learners will need to check in on camera at the start of every class per the Outschool policy.

Discuss and learn the history, personal facts and accomplishments of each woman in history that is listed each week.Review and retain the information through open discussion, short clips, printables as needed, trivia and fun puzzles.
