Students will discover what the French Catacombs are and identify the where, when and why of this spooky place. When were these people buried under Paris and why are they there? Were the Catacombs ever used for anything else? We will begin by learning about the Catacombs through simple slides with images, videos and facts about how the Catacombs were created. Students can volunteer to help read and make inferences about the reasons these skeletons are found below the streets of Paris. ...
Students will be able to describe what the Catacombs are, where are they are located and why they were created. Students will be able to share a brief history of events in the Catacombs of Paris such as what happened during wars.
