Welcome to the super squishy, adorable advent calendar-inspired drawing adventure! This is a one-of-a-kind art class that offers 25 fun-filled days of creativity. Each day, learners will enjoy making a new drawing of the cutest holiday squishmallow-inspired drawings that will make their hearts melt! The countdown to Christmas will begin with an adorable snowman squishmallow-inspired drawing, followed by a cutie-patootie elf squishmallow, and many more! After completing 24 mini drawings, learners will get to create an extra-special drawing for Christmas that they can show off to their friends and family. To make this experience even more exciting, we have included printable calendar pages with 12 boxes on each of the first two pages that correspond to each day's drawing video. These pages will help learners keep track of their progress and make it easy to share their final masterpiece. You can expect a new drawing to be delivered each day for 25 days, similar to the way an Advent calendar works. The class is intended to be started on December 1, with a new drawing every day from the 1st through the 25th. On Christmas day, we will draw on a special separate page to put all of our ideas together into a fun and creative work of art that learners will cherish for years to come. So, get ready to unleash your inner artist and join us on this magical holiday drawing adventure! The drawings are meant to be a daily surprise and will be revealed in each video lesson with a door opening to share the day's surprise drawing - the same way an Advent calendar would work. The drawings are inspired by squishmallow style, but don't follow any specific official squishmallow characters. Hello, I'm Ms. Jes!
In my classes, kids unleash their inner artist using favorite characters and games that I’m just as passionate about as they are. We explore spontaneous creativity and embracing “mistakes”. Let’s start drawing outside the box!
I am most passionate about teaching art and learning in unique ways. My approach to teaching infuses encouragement and optimism while having fun and connecting with a new generation over shared interests. Every child is special and celebrated for being who they are! No matter the class, I believe in positively approaching learning and finding joy in it.
• Outside of Outschool, I founded a nonprofit youth performing arts academy in 2015.
• I live in the beautiful Midwest of the USA with my husband and two children.
