In this 4-week, twice a week class, students will learn and practice writing responses to literary short stories through lecture, guided discussion, and group and individual practice. This class will provide direct writing instruction in writing responses to literary short stories. As a class, students will work through the process of brainstorming, organizing, writing, and editing a response essays. - Students will understand the process for writing a multi-paragraph written response to literature and will write one independently at the end of class for a writing score and feedback.
I am a certified secondary English teach with a BA and MA in English. I have tutored collegiate academic writing since 2000. I have also tutored AP Language, AP Literature, Human Geography, AP World History, AP US History, and AP Government/Econ. for over 10 years. I have also tutored ACT English and ACT Reading for several years. The materials that we use is content that I have gathered and used with all my face-to-face students.
