This course is an introduction to the basics of drumming. In the first lesson, we'll cover the grip, how to set up the drums, and more. 37 mins of video lessons

Single Stroke Roll
Drum rudiments are the foundation of drumming. 6 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Level 1 Grooves and Fills #1
This is a drum-fill exercise with drum beats. It is a great way to practice your drumming skills. 14 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
(Level 1) Lesson 2
In this lesson, you will learn to play your first drum beats and improve how your hands and feet work together. You will combine the hi-hat, snare, and bass drum to create steady rhythms. We will break down the beat step by step and practice slowly to help you feel more confident.
By the end of the lesson, you will be able to play a complete drum set beat and use your hands and feet together comfortably. 10 mins of video lessons

Hi, I’m Rob Egan, a passionate musician, educator, and drum enthusiast with a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the honor of performing across the U.S., Canada, and Europe with incredible artists like Henry Mancini, Bob Mintzer, and the U.S. Army Ground Forces Band. But what truly lights me up is teaching.
With over 4,000 hours of online instruction, I’ve created a dynamic, interactive learning environment where kids feel excited to learn. My virtual setup includes three drum sets, six camera angles, and crystal-clear audio to give students an immersive experience, no matter where they’re tuning in from.
Why do I teach? Because I’ve seen how music transforms kids’ lives. It’s not just about learning rhythms or playing beats; it’s about growing confidence, sparking creativity, and fostering a love for learning that extends far beyond the drums.
Every child is unique, which is why I tailor my lessons to meet their specific needs—whether they’re neurodiverse, autistic, homeschooled, or simply eager to explore music. My goal is to make drumming accessible, fun, and a source of pride for every student.Reviews
